You should tape that leaf to the back of your leaf-raker resume!

Maybe he needs to turn over a new leaf?

I wish neighborhood kids still came around offering to cut grass, rake leaves or shovel snow. Even if they didn’t do the greatest job, it was usually a good deal for both the kid & the home owner. Perhaps if parents these days told their kids that they’d have to EARN the $$$ for their next cell phone, they’d show a little more ambition.

Will Patty’s Dad keep the sample leaf?

Everyone loves free samples.

Even though Schulz always intended Patty’s hair to be an orangey-brown, I can’t stop imagining her with blonde hair whenever I see her in a black-and-white strip. I also keep visualizing her chequered dress and hair-bow as being dark green in colour, when it’s really orange. Don’t ask me why! :)

A sample leaf, now that’s a hoot. If I paid a kid to rake, I’d pay him by the bag so if he tired out before finishing the yard then I’d not have to pay full price for a half done yard.

Speaking of a good job it looks like Patty’s dad is a terrible gardener. The last two days we see that both Lucy and Violet have a nice green bush growing at the corner of their houses, but the bush here is pathetic. It looks like it is half dead branches.
