I took a “pilgrimage” to Innsbruck to see the Olympic stadium used in the ’76 Olympics. (Skaters always check out famous rinks. Ok, we check out ANY rink when we travel). LOL

I remember when Snoopy went to the Winter Olympics. Was very a nice story arc.

And then they would have had to invent a new category of medal for you, Snoopy!

It’s a nice advantage if you can skate barefoot.

How about if they ask you real mean, loser?

Call Peggy Fleming up, maybe she’ll agree to do pairs with you.

Ah yes, I can see Snoopy now, in a Root Beer Hall in Austria, quaffing a few root beers before he heads out to shoot down the Red Barron before he skates.

Full marks to Schulz for showing the graceful movements in a set of hand drawn stationary panels.

Innsbruck 1976 was the first Winter Olympics I remember and I’ve loved the winter version ever since. Snoopy would have done well against Great Britain’s John Curry, who took Gold in the men’s figure skating that year.
