Many Peanuts characters have a ‘family’ resemblance. Schulz often used hair to make it easy for readers to distinguish them.

Floyd is one really dense kid. I had a girl in junior high to push me away when I made an overture, and I didn’t need repeated violence to get the message.

And you know he’s in “love” when even getting hit with one of those metal medical kits doesn’t stop him!

Well, Marcie did give Floyd a chance to fix himself up…maybe she has a soft spot for him! :D

I think I’m going to make my pronoun “sir”.

Yes, he was wrong to call her anything, especially “lambcake”. That assumes an intimacy not earned. Floyd probably learned that from his father, who may also call women he doesn’t know names like that.

Floyd…I’m sure your motives are innocent, but here’s a tip – if a girl slugs you every time you call her a name, even if it’s a nice name, stop calling her that!
