Well Chuck, she finally told the truth, did you maybe imagine she would lie as usual and hold the ball in place?

Lucy has pulled away the football, that means football season has started.

CB stopped listening to Lucy long ago.

Remember, gentlemen, when a young lady asks you for a commitment, that’s just like Lucy telling Charlie Brown “I’ll hold the football, and you come running up and kick it!”

Maybe he thought you were lying, since you’re so good at it.

OK, so she’s thinking like a woman. But, seriously, does C. Brown qualify as a man?

I didn’t even read properly what she said for the first time.

Just in time for NFL opening week…

Why does Charlie always upend himself and land on his back with a wump? What would’ve he done had he kicked that oblong ball of air? Much the same, perhaps?

I think Mr. Schulz did regret Charlie Brown never did kick the football.

That’s what Lucy always does every football season.

Lucy just admitted she was going to take the ball away and Charlie Brown still tried to kick it? Man, he is so hopeless.

When I was a child in elementary school and was first reading “Peanuts,” I could never understand how missing the football could make Charlie Brown end up on his back. I like to think that I am no longer that literal. Yep. That’s what I like to think.

Maybe he was hoping it was Opposite Day.

Charlie Brown trying to kick the football that Lucy holds reminds me of the life lesson that told me if the same result keeps happening, over and over, do something else, unless you like it.

Nope, we don’t listen all that well. In fact most old guys have hearing aids, not because they can’t hear, but because they can turn off their wives:)

I don’t know which is worse — Lucy pulling the football away, or Charlie Brown’s kite exploding when he FINALLY got it airborne.

I was recovering from back surgery when I read that one. Had to put the book down, afraid I’d mess up my back from laughing.

This brings back memories. I can’t wait for the weather to cool down so I can toss the old pigskin around.

Yeah, pretty much.

Time marches, every so reliably, onward….Spring Training and Baseball return come 156 more days…..and this current baseball season still has abt 20 games or so to play for the teams ……

It was an honest mistake on Chuck’s part, since women never mean what they say.

CB’s a glutton for punishment.

That is one of the things I never like about the comics or TV shows, Lucky being a brat and pulling the ball, poor CB must have been sore for days
