Violet Gray – Schulz’s favourite background character. Though she ceased to be a major player in the Peanuts world by 1966, she would continue to make insignificant appearances like this one for the next 30 years. Speaking of appearances/disappearances: where has Templo S.U.D. gone??

Didn’t like making the bed either as a kid. Then you grow up and you realize making the bed instantly makes the room look better and it feels nice to go to sleep on a an unrumpled bed

Sounds like Violet is in a lot of trouble with her mom.

He’s tryng to get enough money for a new rake!

In the morning, I find the topsheet has slid to right, and the blankets all clumped up on the left. Beyond remedying that situation is all that I am willing to do, since I don’t care if it looks neat and smooth.

The reality is, it’s best to let a bed ‘air out’ a bit before making it. Especially if you are an older person who tends to sweat at night, and the sheets are a bit damp…

Lucy became chief insulter of Charlie Brown, and Violet faded away

IIRC, Charlie Brown didn’t get to talk to his mother because she’s dead, making this a rather poignant statement.

I’m sure her mother would love to tuck you in.
