I used to make red hearts out of construction paper and tape a heart-shaped lollipop to each heart. One for each classmate. Never got a lollipop myself, though.
Although I was somewhat the young lover when I was Charlie’s age, I never got valentines mailed, either. I got all mine at school. I guess it was cheaper that way. Snoopy seems to get a lot of mailed valentines, but he doesn’t go to school.

Aww. That is a nice Valentine’s wish Chuck had for his sister, even though his sister was talking mean and nasty to him especially on this day!

Happy Valentine’s Day! (I’m with Charlie here, I don’t think I ever received a Valentine’s card. But then, it wasn’t a thing here when I was younger).

I remember this cartoon. Melted chocolates were yucky but you ate them anyway. Charlie Brown can get back at Sally without really hurting her.

The little red-handed girl should give her a Valentine

Yeah, Charlie, that would be a disaster!

Charlie Brown is so desperate to get cards, that he would even accept a pity Valentine.

I’m wondering if Peppermint Patty received a Valentine from the dog obedience school she attended? A paw print perhaps.

I like Sally’s character, but she’s never pretended to be a good little sister.

Coming from the girl who probably didn’t get a Valentine’s from her “sweet babboo”…

It would serve Sally right. She should have sent him one.

My favorite such put-down was one delivered by Johnny Carson (as Carnac): May McDonald’s cater your daughter’s wedding.
