Gas since the charcoal they sell in stores isn’t true charcoal. The food tastes better than with that fake stuff sold in stores. There was actually an investigation in the 90’s that showed the charcoal brickets are mostly road tar. If I use charcoal at all it’s left over from previous fires where the wood didn’t completely burn up. Then I know there’s no road tar in it.
