Ok, this sounds like Pastis getting kinky on us and managing to side step the censors to boot.

Pig was concerned at first because warm beavers are nice when they’re properly aged, but not when they get too old.:Isn’t it fun to be a gutterhead?

I try to read the Spanish version of this comic first to see if can figure it out. I don’t speak Spanish well, and am trying to get better..In the Spanish version Pig appears to be asking if they have squid (calamares) to eat. The cook acts like he doesn’t know what that is. Then he looks at the menu and says, “calamaretes”. Pig responds with the same line that it doesn’t sound interesting. .I can’t find a translation for what calamaretes is in English.

I found one site that appears to indicate that calamaretes are anchovies. I’m not sure how that makes the joke work in Spanish, though.

I visited the zoo today. They do have warm beavers that age.Somebody should tell pig about that, unless he reads thesecomments himself.

How much does Cartoon-Boy pay you to utter these silly, semi-lurid lines, Pig?Whatever it is, it is not enough. If only you could find yourself a good lawyer (yes, I know some consider that to be an oxymoron)….

This is the reason why spelling and reading correctly are important…………esp when it comes to the health field for if several letters in a word are not correct totally different meaning :-O

My wife and I go to the Spanish Masses at our parish. I’m still trying to figure out why the Father says everyone can be a bear (Padre todo-poder-oso).

How is it I’m first in the posts? When I posted there were at least four posts ahead of mine (I know for a fact I saw leftwingpatriot, legaleagle48, and Sherlock Watson’s posts were already in place when I posted) and now my post is at the top. Unless the folks who posted before me erased their posts then reposted them so mine would be at the top, it’s not fair to them that this happened.

Since Pig sees warm beavers on the menu, why does he ask if they have it? Shouldn’t he simply ask for it?
