Rest Of Life? Isn’t that the same as throwing the alarm clock out the window?

I wake up, feeling bored; my alarm clock, I’ve ignored. I get religion quick, and then fall asleep. Into the bed I stick, without much peep…

Bet Rat has an Elvis Presley/television solution to his alarm clock situation. And a closet full of replacement alarm clocks.

“Rest of Life”? So, what, you hit the button and it goes off when you die?

When you retire, you still have to get up to attend your friends’ funerals. I’ve been to four in the past three months, and I haven’t even (quite) retired yet.

Remember the college student that had a hard time getting out of bed and came up with a clock that would roll around the floor in different directions so it forced you to get out of bed each time and hit the snooze? Now they have one that even squirts water at you.

Being of the elderly persuasion, and retired, I have a classic Big Ben key-wound alarm clock on my bedside table. Every night, I get into bed, smile at it, and do not wind it up. I’m pretty sure it hates that. Hee-hee-hee.

For the ‘rest-of-life’ snooze option, look under ‘unplug’.

The “rest of life snooze” button is aka “turn off the alarm”. I used it about 5 years ago. Bliss.

When I worked, I used to set at least two, sometimes three, alarm clocks. Now, retired, I rarely ever set even one. Pig, “rest o’ life” is right!

I never understood the reason for a “snooze” button. If I set the alarm to 6 am but notice I hit snooze every morning then why not just set the alarm to 6:15am instead? I’ve never used snooze as I don’t see the reason for it.
