Pretty safe to assume Pig doesn’t subscribe to newspapers, so his life is bliss.

When my neighbour retired, he never got an email of his own (only had a work one), does not own a computer or a cell phone. If you want to reach him, you call his landline or send him a letter. Or knock on his door.

    I’m jealous.

I’ve stopped checking Facebook, all the people I knew growing up make me say “who are you?” Twitter, check only once a week, too much tension. Don’t have cable, only check PBS/BBC World News for news, changing the channel when the political pundits come on.Trying to reduce the stress and anger causing things as much as possible.

I wonder if “Mayhem the Cat” is his upstairs neighbor…I generally ignore TV commercials, but he & “Mayhem the 70-lb. St. Bernard Puppy” never fail to crack me up!

Pig’s euphoria will last until he realizes he wants but cannot get repairs or replacements, or finds his home (and Rat’s, too, remember: they share a house) under water….
