Wordle? What be that?

In only post if I get it in 2 which has only happened twice.

I approve.

I don’t use “social” media and I have no idea what Wordle is. I feel truly superior.

What do you do with people (or rats) that go out of their way to look for social media postings with Wordle scores?

Is that a JEF MALLETT by any chance? (I guess that’s only for those are FRAZ-zled._ ;D

A friend of mine got me hooked on Wordle. I like it- it makes me think.

Brilliant, Pastis… or maybe the colorist? Pig’s and Goat’s mugs are red and green, just like the Wordle squares.

I did it once, on this very site, (accidentally, I didn’t understand the principal, my first time on Wordle)… but never again…

How many tries did you take to get them, Rat? :D

I’ve been posting results with 3 or less. I don’t understand people who post with 5 or worse, 6.

Those that feel a need to post their score should get a life. By the way – got it in 3 today – 32 day streak!!!

Rat should play Lewdle, it uses only dirty words.

Why is Rat so sensitive? He doesn’t have to pay attention. Or is he just that bad at Wordle?

i understand that it feels like a big win if you get it in two or three, but if you come in under the wire at 6 it’s still a win…

I don’t usually agree with Rat, but I can endorse this policy. Have fun with your game, but I truly don’t care what you scored.

I love Wordle, but I don’t post scores. Really, NOBODY CARES.

I really like the game, but I’ve never posted scores, and I don’t understand why people do.

Knowing that it annoys Rat makes it tempting, though.

What scores? I don’t see a score, only statistics.

I love it when cartoons reference things that I’ve never heard of…and now I know I don’t need to find out. (Rat and I have a lot in common, although I don’t hit people, not in reality.)

I think I tried it once, and then learned that it became tracking-software infested.Plenty of other word games out there. Currently obsessed with cryptograms (which is NOT very small amounts of cryptocurrency)

And then people complain about how hard Wordle is and post it on social media!!!! There are only so many 5-letter (legitimate) words in the English Language/Dictionary!!! Rat is my hero!!!

Sometimes I reply to someone’s Wordle post by showing a picture of a Tetris game.

Wordle posters—of which I am one—are not hurting anyone. It’s not a racist or political or hateful or sexist or just plain stupid thing someone thought of and shared. In fact, it’s probably the easiest thing on social media to scroll past without thinking.

What IS Wordle, anyway??

I have no great compulsion to post my scores since good guessing is the single biggest factor, but I really don’t understand the violent reaction to people posting their scores.

What is a Wordle Score?

No idea what a wordle is……..heck, I’m still not sure what a sudoku is! (but I do the NYT crossword in ink, if that counts for anything.)

Since I got it in 5, that’s no good.

I start with opera, then units.

Thanks for reminding me to do that, Rat. I got mine in three. I have a strategy that has been working quite well for me.

Don’t what what wordle is. Don’t know what worldwide post is. I DO read the news, twice a day, but stick to national and international news. I don’t bother with ‘fluff’. I do crossword puzzles in pen and online. I read every day. I do jigsaw puzzles and I quilt. I don’t do facebook, tweets, insta anything. This is my life and I’m content with it.

My sister does that, but in texts to me. She is trying to get me hooked on the game. I have played it a couple of times, but it is not something I would obsess over. Found starting with PIOUS and READY is good. Covers all the vowels.

OK, but ask which is also a Rhodes scholar! I knew one who is a great song writer, singer, actor, helicopter pilot, and was a friend of Johnny Cash.

you can keep the word games . It’s nothing but fast fixes that don’t really add to the intellect . Acrostics is the way to go because not only can it be based on paraphrases/quotes but the clues are often as educational as crossword clues but also make one do research/exposure to subjects that one doesn’t normally surf into.

I’ll just continue to be part of the control group…..that’s not playing. (Insert Related xkcd here)

I’d have to play to be able post a score for that game. Not one of the games I play.

Not one to cast bread upon the water (or Pearls before the Swine) because I repost a lot of cartoon panels each day…..

I’m only interested in comparing my score against myself!

I really don’t care one way or the other, but I laughed anyway.

I have no idea how Wordle works, and I could not care any less.

I got #264 on the 3rd try (3/6), in six minutes & 32 seconds. I think that Rat is just jealous.

Pig and Goat know what to do by now with one of Rat’s moods like this.

OK, those of you who claim to have no idea what Wordle is… you could have looked it up in less time than it took to comment on it

Guilty as charged, Rat. I enjoy my nightly Wordle game, and sharing to Facebook and seeing who else has played is fun.

I try to only post my score if I make it in 3 or fewer guesses (which isn’t very common these days but I did get a 2 early this week!!)
