Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson for October 05, 2013

Transcript:
Phoebe: Do unicorns get songs stuck in their heads? Marigold: Oh, I have had a song stuck in my head for EONS. I AM LOVELYYY. Phoebe: That's not a song. It's just a thing you made up. Marigold: Every song is a thing someone made up.
Ever read “The Demolished Man” by Alfred Bester? There’s a knack to writing songs that get stuck in your head…and one such song was a major plot device in the story.
I think there was also one of Arthur C. Clarke’s “Tales from the White Hart” that involved such a song.
Thankfully, YouTube exists to help relieve things being stuck in your head.
But I’ll tell you right now, if you don’t want a song stuck in your head, DON’T watch the “Magical Trevor” animations. Fair warning: they’re custom-crafted to run around inside your head forever and ever.
“Eight, sir; seven, sir;Six, sir; five, sir;Four, sir; three, sir; Two, sir; one!Tenser, said the Tensor.Tenser, said the Tensor.Tension, apprehension,And dissension have begun.”
