Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson for March 31, 2014
March 30, 2014

Transcript:
Phoebe: Mom, I can't go to school today! I'm sick!
Mom: You look fine.
Phoebe: It's a MENTAL illness. I've gone CRAAAAAAZY. Apparently, crazy people still have to go to school.
Marigold: Even the crazy need not be stupid.
Well, remember Catch 22: You have to be crazy to go to school and you are sane if you don’t go. If you were sane, then you have to go to school. If you go to school, you were crazy and you don’t have to go; but if you don’t want to go, you were sane and you had to go. Simple.

She’s been riding a unicorn to school. Hasn’t she figured out how crazy that sounds?

Next time, try something more believable, “I can’t go to school, Mom; the unicorn ate my homework.”

As the old bumper sticker reads, “I don’t suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it.”

And yet it turns and people remain ignorant to the point of insanity.
