Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson for May 07, 2016
Transcript:
Marigold: You can make it rain outside my window, but you can't STOP it from raining now? I would not WANT to. It must rain sometimes. If your human taste for sunshine were always satisfied, nothing would grow. Phoebe: Like how I'm not allowed to have ice cream for dinner? Marigold: No, that is because your parents are big meanies.
Lawn sprinklers seem to be an attempt to eliminate the need for rain. Rain doesn’t care that it’s not needed, so it falls anyway.
