I thought it was already established that “The Unicorn of Death” was just a surname? There are some continuity errors going on here.

Speaking of which, apparently there is such a thing as a romantic attraction to objects. For one, there was a woman who was in love with the Berlin Wall. She was very heartbroken when it was breached and dismantled, but tell that to the German government.

Rarity once had a rock for a boyfriend. I think his name was Tom.

Not so much a surname as a family tradition – Ferny must be named after neighs uncle. We’ve already met Ferny’s parents (Maledicta Unavoidable Catastrophe and Onyx Darkbane, Foreteller of the World’s End) and sibling (Buttercup Jeweled Delight). Peppermint must have been named after both branches of the family… or else a deadly poisonous sweet.

I wonder if Ferny understands the meaning of the word “crush” as it is being used here?

Last names have meaning. Not everyone named “Cooper” makes barrels for a living, but the reason “Cooper” exists as a last name is because a distant ancestor was a barrel-maker.

You know, I’m kinda crushing on Ferny too . . . I mean, like, I’d want to hang out with neigh all day every day and maybe cuddle some. That’s pretty much what I assume a 9-year-old’s crush amounts to.

Being weird is just a matter of perspective.

Now see, I would comment that it was the family name thing Phoebe focused on from all of that…but then I’d be lying if I didn’t also admit I had thought literally the same thing the second Ferny said it. :P
