Oh, man. I’ve been conceptualizing the ultimate model train layout. Like, it wouldn’t just have trains. It would have magnets under the roads that move model cars along it. And a lake with real water, (plus a waterfall if I feel like splurging) where boats are pulled along their route by underwater strings. Maybe even an amusement park with a working roller coaster.
Okay. That’s it. Next shot I get at guest-scripting a story for DICK TRACY, he’s a warlock sleuth. GENIUS! And Sam can be his…er…familiar. I’m thinking ‘flying monkey with an Irish brogue and a collection of off-year pennies’.
False equivalence there, Max. Phoebe reads a work of fiction that would be impractical/ impossible for her to act out in real life; you’re reading a how-to book on which you could act.
Model trains (and trolleys) can become a consuming passion. I knew people who hand built their tracks using scale sized creosote treated ties and rails that had to be set with tiny railroad spikes to the proper gauge. Add a functional overhead trolley wire and you have a maintenance nightmare to keep it all working properly.

I read books about unicorns. I am not one. (As far as you all know.)

Well despite my reads as a kid, I had no means of bringing plastic figures alive, nor did I go to a thirty story school.

Max needs to read a book that delineates the difference between fact and fiction.
