The postman probably cares more about you, Earl, than Muffin cares about Opal.

Feed and care for a dog and he will think you are God … feed and care for a cat and she will know she is God.

That’s what cats are all about!!

What a stereotype. I’ve had 4 cats, and they all loved me and not for the food. They come to me for affection, I’ve trained them all and they are not demanding and very loving.

I know my postman hates me … He only brings me junk mail and bills.

Cats do love their owners! (KIND owners that is) But all pets are completely dependent on us after all for food and shelter, like small children. Cats are so sadly misunderstood. :o(

Yup, when you’ve fallen and you can’t get up, your dog will stand by you faithfully, but your cat will start to eat you. Just saying.

I love her cross expression. The only mail I get is from the Dentist, College and the Blood Clinic.

Opal, I sometimes got that same feeling about my ex – turned out it was correct.

Very much so. Cats, like humans have varying degrees of affection needs, but there isn’t a cat alive who doesn’t want to be stroked at some point. I think breed has a lot to do with it too.
