At one time people who took embarrassing photos of someone else and showed them to other people were cruel, and had a very low form of rudeness. Now you are not popular unless you do.
When I was a kid, my mom was mixing up some pink cake frosting, and I hopped up on the counter to have a peek. Of course, I got my hair tangled up in the beaters, screamed in panic, and my mom came in and started laughing as she fixed it all. I was upset for years that she was laughing while I was in real pain. Fast forward to when I’m a mom, and my daughters are playing with a remote control car. I hear cries and come round the corner to see my oldest with her long hair twisted up around a car wheel, and her little sister holding the controls, giggling maniacally as she kept on revving it up. I fixed it as quickly as possible, hugged her and tried to let her know I understood how she felt, but darned if I couldn’t keep from laughing at the scenario, too, just like my mom. To this day, my oldest girl still says she can’t believe I was laughing while she was in pain. I apologize, and tell her to picture me covered in pink icing, with Nana laughing, and if that doesn’t help, she’ll just have to wait till she has goofy kids, too.
@ Arianne…sometimes I think when you laugh in those situations… it’s just a nervous response that one has. I had h friend that did it as well. I’m with you too. Wait till your sweet daughter is in the same situation. History will most likely repeat itself.
