Update your will, Opel. Put in the condition that you want to be buried with the book. Then when you see her again you can give it to her..“Book thief for life” is better than “forever a book thief”, right?
Yes, N, it is the same. It’s what they were called when I was a kid in Pittsburgh, and I still call it toasted cheese. ’course, maybe it was a family term and not a Pittsburgh term. They have enough crazy words as it is.
I love how some people say “toasted cheese” sandwich instead of “grilled cheese” sandwich. Though, I suspect “toasted” is a better way to describe it unless you use an actual grill.

Poppycock – they are the same thing -a grilled cheese is merely toasted in a pan instead of another device

Now Earl, if you’re going to blackmail her, go for broke! Have her make you a bowl of creamy tomato soup to go with it!

I had once stated in the comments on Calvin & Hobbes that I had never seen the original Titanic but the remake.
Somebody said “Well, I won’t spoil the ending for you then”
Today’s strip just reminded me of that.
