This is a pet peeve of mine. Maybe I’m a bit OCD but plastic bowls with no lids and lids with no bowls drives me bonkers !My First Maite, however, refuses to throw away a piece of tupperware. And Linguist’s Law maintains that, after having selected a specific bowl, and depositing foodstuffs within, no matching lid shall be found amongst the hundreds in the cupboard !
it is amazing what ‘retired’ people will do for amusement that will than cause concern and sleepless nights.hope you get it over it earl, before bedtime. :)
Welcome to the realities of plastic containers. It’s related to the sock universe and the questions as to where Bic Biro pens disappear, magically tunnel through space only to reappear elsewhere.
Too cheap to use Tupperware, we use containers originally used for sandwich meat and similar products. The lids wear out much faster. We have a nice large one of unremembered origin we use for a cookie jar and one for table butter after we transfer it from a larger and cheaper source. Both of these have lids with securing rims that go only part way around any more.

Aww, I’m so touched by your concern, Earl. If you check your nuts and bolts collection in the garage, you might find a couple of those containers.

Just throw out five round containers and two squarelids you’ll have an even amount of each Earl!
