Just throw out five round containers and two squarelids you’ll have an even amount of each Earl!

I didn’t know you could buy containers or lids separately…

This is a pet peeve of mine. Maybe I’m a bit OCD but plastic bowls with no lids and lids with no bowls drives me bonkers !My First Maite, however, refuses to throw away a piece of tupperware. And Linguist’s Law maintains that, after having selected a specific bowl, and depositing foodstuffs within, no matching lid shall be found amongst the hundreds in the cupboard !

How well do the the lids match the containers themselves?

It happens at our house too. Must be the container fairies at work again.

Those round containers are 8 inches in diameter but the lids are 5 inches.

Well, I am blown away.

Too cheap to use Tupperware, we use containers originally used for sandwich meat and similar products. The lids wear out much faster. We have a nice large one of unremembered origin we use for a cookie jar and one for table butter after we transfer it from a larger and cheaper source. Both of these have lids with securing rims that go only part way around any more.
