It sounds like a valid reason to me.

“I didn’t feel like it” is a reason not to reply, but he should not have said so. “I haven’t checked my phone this morning” or some other reply would have been kinder.

Wow! Literally a friend told me this yesterday. I couldn’t even get mad. I just nodded and said “makes sense.”

Hey like the song said “Just leave a message and maybe I’ll call”…..

Guys like Earl are like little children. Too honest for their own good.

That’s how I feel on many occasions. :)

The joys of retirement

I always wanted to change my voice message at work to “Hi, this is Kip. I’m not at my desk now, so please hang up.”

I’ll return a message, but the people who call and don’t leave one drive me nuts. Hubby says he wants to change our recording to sat something along the lines of “If it isn’t worth your time to leave a message, was it really worth the time to call?”

Quit beating around the bush, Earl, why didn’t you call him back?

I own a phone for my convenience, not yours. I have no obligation to answer or to return a call unless I want to. That being said, most of the time I want to.

WE already know that Earl is such a sick person his energy levels are so low it has given him apathy.

Excuses. I would’ve said, “I was off Wi-fi and didn’t get your message.”
