After a scary explerience, I will rest my hand on the cat’s chest when he is sleeping to make sure he is asleep and not forever asleep.

Our pet friends do not live very long, and that’s a shame!

That’s probably unnecessary; Grandpa looks like he snores in his sleep.

If my wife wakes up in the middle of the night and can’t hear me breathing, she’ll poke me to make sure I’m still alive. So sweet that she cares. (That must be it. I don’t have life insurance.)

My Lady Wife (long gone now) would stop breathing while asleep. Because she snored, it always woke me. I miss her.

Roscoe lazy ? Nelson seems like you are the one hanging out. Get a leash and take Roscoe for a walk or go play fetch or tug of war with Roscoe !

My newly retired wife doesn’t get it yet. We can’t nap together, because she sets the alarm!

So how long does Earl nap? My own hubby takes naps but not for long. For me when it hits, I take brief nap, and I do not like it I want to sleep at night.

Now that there is a mighty fine recliner you have there (hopefully, for his back). She just hollers “TURN OVER” for laughs to see him fall on the floor.

Poke them? You just watch them until you’re sure they’re breathing. That’s what I do, and, if they wake up while you’re doing it, it provides the additional amusement of them being creeped out that you’re watching them while they sleep.

What, she can’t tell by the racket he’s making?

I just watch to see if he’s breathing.

My 2nd live-in gf the first night we slept together stated to me, ’ Every morning after dawn i’m gonna nudge you & murmur gm, and you murmur gm back ok..?’

…and then the day when he isn’t.

My wife does that sometimes and it’s really irritating.
