My friend Larry had a big dog of uncertain origin. One of those 100 lb things. He also had a small cat aptly though not creatively named, “Cat”. The dog was petrified of Cat, though he outweighed it at least 20 to 1.

“Again” implies it’s happened before…which means that Opal may want to keep Muffin indoors from now on!

Our cat chased the neighbor’s huge dog down the street once. Had the whole neighborhood laughing!

If the cat was really good he’d scare off the door-to-door salesman.

I had to laugh. That second panel echoes my phone answering message; “…leave me a message and I’ll call you back, unless you are looking for a donation or trying to sell me something. In that case, you can cross me off your list” Amazing how fast that is followed by a click on the other end!

My Grandma had a cat named “Stonewall”; about 25-30 pounds. One of the 3 cats I’ve ever liked. For a decade or so, he whupped about everything on 4 legs & fathered about 89% of the kittens in Morgan County, OH.

Next farm down had a great big (and rather dim) red hound called “Corpuscle”. Probably had 100 pounds on the cat.

Once a week or so, Corpuscle would amble the road and start something with Stoney. Usually less than a minute later, he’d be running back down the road (no ambling then), tail tucked and whining. Like I said – rather dim.

Well that’s a little unusual Earl said Muffin, normally it’s just the cat.

Dogs understand territory. I once had a small mexican hairless that would chase bigger dogs out of our back yard.

My neighbour’s mastiff is terrified of my 1 1/2 year old 10 pound cat. My cat approached the dog out of curiosity and the dog ran away yelping! Seriously. It must have encountered another cat’s claws.
