Oldie but a fuddy-duddy.

aren’t most grandfathers oldies and goodies?

Why the stripes on the black boy?

Is Grandpa doing his W.C. Fields imitation?

And a cranky!

Uncle Junior was about two years older than Daddy. When Daddy was learning to speak, he called him Goody. The name stuck but only for parents and siblings.

(This is how so many commonly come to be called Bubba, little siblings who can’t pronounce “brother.” At least Daddy was original.)

This afternoon, I dreamed that some kids were watching me sleep.

Next time nap in the room that has a bed in it.

As a little tot, one of my grandchildren took Taekwon-Do. She decided to do a defense scream while coming unseen toward me. My heart’s never been the same.

I let my Grandpa and Father sleep.

Compared to Dagwood, Grampa has it good!

With all the chat about W.C. Fields I looked up a web site that has 25 quotes. Man, that dude was funny. There are several other sites shown in the search.

I found the one quote about Philadelphia under consideration, but he had several and he was not nice to Philadelphia.

“All things considered, I’d rather be in Philadelphia”

It is not on his headstone but was proposed by him for his epitaph during an interview.

Earl sounds like W.C. Fields.
