Earl: Could you alter my surroundings to make them more nutritious? – Opal: Not without making a mess that you’ll clean up.

If you only feed him at the table you will limit his sedentary lifestyle. Unless he stays at the table in which case you may have to move the feeding spot.

Since plants, which don’t move, eventually turn into coal, are they sedentary or sedimentary?

Considering all the crumbs he generates eating snacks while in that chair, he probably could absorb nutrients from his surroundings.

Considering her weight, Opal is pretty sedimentary too.

I must disagree with Opal. I’ve unsuccessfully tried and tried to lose weight by eating less and less and I’ve been walking 20+ miles a week. There’s just no other explanation…I’m absorbing fat cells by osmosis.

Eventually barnacles can become sedimentary as well; there are limestone formations dominated by barnacles.

Opal, Earl is right, he is sedimentary, after all we all know he has rocks in his head.
