I used to see my classmates’ parents in the obits but lately there have been a few of them too.
I never check the obits, just in case I might find myself in there.
I never read the obits. It gets depressing and reminds you of how old and close to meeting the Grim Reaper you are. :/

I live in a 55+ neighborhood and it’s still getting harder and harder to find an elder.
Yeah. First you look to see who of your classmates is getting married; then having babies; then having major anniversaries; then whose kids are getting engaged / married; who has grandchildren. Then…well, then there’s the page above.
Wow, so many people die in that place they have an obituary section!
