No, it is the ‘younger’ do make labor day still a day of labor… Just another kind of labor. Been there, done that… in order to get a picnic, vacation, or a trip, etc. together – First ya gotta pack for it, get it all loaded into the car, pack the boat or whatever big toy das has… then go do it – then come back and clean up after it, etc. Now that is still LABOR day; in fact, it is often harder than a days labor at work. No, honestly? Us Pluggers have the total right idea. We have labored – for many more years than you younger folks can imagine. NOW, many of us can celebrate ‘labor day holiday’ the way the holiday was planned – we just do it everyday!
Labor Day Holiday is really a misnomer as only the essential people still labor on this day. The rest of us go camping, fishing, to the lake, the swimming pool (if it isn’t closed yet), or just sit around and eat drink and be merry.

This cartoon is so true. I find myself now morphed into my father and grandfathers, sleeping and snoring in my recliner.

Because of back pain, I lie flat on my back, but elevate one leg for better circulation—-the complexities of advanced pluggerhood.

Not the plugger I’m married to. He’s been trimming trees and pulling weeds since 6 a.m.
