Humm. Paradise has alligators. Nice. I’ll bet the gator would give the bone back. Though Poncho would have to come and get it.

“The filth, the dampness, the smells…” would be a selling point for dogs, I think…
And, as predicted, a sewer gator appears. But he eats the snakes, rats, and various monsters lurking beneath. But, sadly, not Pennywise the Demon Clown.
