    My mother always used a cast iron skillet with a rack over it to cook her meatloaf. When the meatloaf was done and set aside on a plate, she made gravy with the drippings in the pan. Should work with a chicken, as well!

    Thrift stores that I’ve been in are FULL of all kinds of practically new cookware. If you can’t afford or find all three things Penny recommends, you can do a heck of a lot with the skillet. And you’ll really develop the bicep in your right arm!

    They cooked great…but I found ’em kinda high maintenance, rusting all the time.
