‘God’ does not exist any more than does Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, or even the Great Pumpkin exists. These are all ‘imaginary.’ If there were proof that ‘God’ exists, you wouldn’t need to believe in it. you would have knowledge of it. You would not need faith, because you would have FACTS. These FACTS could then be proven to any else. They could be repeated, tested, and demonstrated. What you have is a ‘FICTION,’ also known as a fairy tale, that you want to believe. That’s it.
In god essence and existence coincide. To be god is to be to be. The language we use about god is analogical, so it’s not univocal. God comes and sets things on fire, but does not consume them. God is not a competitive being in the world. God is non-competively transcendent to the world. He is the author of the book, but not of the book.
