The punch line reminds me of an incident that happened when my friend had a yard sale years and years ago, when they were just coming into vogue. They still live in the same house in the countryside. Her sale was just in time and they sold everything in about two hours. Still people kept coming even though the sign was down. One couple drove miles to get to it and didn’t want to leave empty handed, so as they were going to the car, the woman asked “how much would you take for the two stones” pointing to the driveway markers at the end of the drive… Since they had a lot of stones lining it, they sold her those two…
