Girls, surely you can put someting together. If not, you need to start now because at some point you are going to be on your own and helpless.

I’m sure they don’t realize they’ll have to pay if they make reservations. Better to call and order a pizza

I was home alone and had been for most of 2 weeks while my husband was at Scout camp. My son in Florida called in a pizza and salad delivery (including tip) and called me when the driver was in my driveway. Not only was it a boost but it was food for 3 nights!

Every kid should at LEAST know how to boil or scramble an egg, heat up a can of soup or canned pasta, make a sandwich or fix a frozen dinner in the oven or microwave. I would consider a scrambled egg and some buttered toast a perfectly adequate dinner if I were exhausted! Or toasted cheese sandwich with canned tomato soup.

When I was 8, my mom went into the hospital for two weeks. I had a choice of eating my dad’s cooking, or learn to cook and live. I learned to cook.

Time to hit the books, ladies! I figured at least Teena would know some basic things.
