I’m a bit confused by this arc. Is it that Teena really doesn’t want a haircut of any kind? Does that fit with her “tomboy” image? As a young boy I always wanted to grow my hair longer but wasn’t allowed to by parents and society in general (this being the early 1960’s), so I can see it from that aspect, but I wouldn’t think girls could be that way.
