I’ve never understood the trope of kids not liking seeing their parents being affectionate. I loved it when my parents were. Many an evening we’d watch TV together & my folks would be snuggled on the couch. I’ve also never heard my dad call my mom by her name; it was always “sweetheart”, “honey” or some other endearment…even when they argued.
