Good grief, Tess, kids hate healthy snacks. As soon as the first kid sees what you give them they will notify all the others. Get ready to eat all of that junk yourself.

I’m with mom on this one.

In our house our mother didn’t buy too many treats, as we would give up the ones we collected, after we got home…The few last kids got to empty the bowl, and they were really happy!

My daughter said that her girls don’t like all that candy and give it away as soon as they get home. They go trick or treating for the fun of wearing the costume and being with a bunch of their friends.

Is Teena saying that carob tastes bad? I think it tastes fine and have never thought of it as a health food. I use it for home made smoothies, and prefer to buy carob malt balls at the grocery store rather than the chocolate covered ones. The carob covered raisins sound pretty good to me.

As someone who discovered I was allergic to carob the hard way after having “healthy” snacks forced on me as a kid I’d be first in line to buy those eggs.

Carob could be considered rather tasty, if you don’t consider it a substitute for chocolate. Of course, that’s a difficult thing to not do. Likewise, carob-covered raisins could be considered a snack if you don’t think of it as a substitute for Halloween candy — an even more difficult thing to do, under the circumstances.
