Jealousy brings out the worst in “con” servatives. You guys only really like to BE served.
And going back to nature IS more fun on a campaign credit card…worked for a good friend conservative’s campaign once…my, how he fooled YOU guys. I helped.
Most career politicians are hypocrites, but in general I have found the “true believers” on the left to be worse. They tend to be stingy with charitable giving, for instance (the Bidens gave about $5000 to charity 2 years ago, for instance). Plus, they say they support the average person and decry the influence of money in politics yet seek Super-PAC donations from billionaires.

I’m all in favor of politicians taking more vacations. I mean, just consider the usual results when they’re at “work”…
