We vote according to the heart instead of the mind. Our emotions allow us to rationalize our decisions, not examine the data and make a decision based on the facts. I know a number of Republicans who absolutely hated everything Bush and company did, but would never ever vote differently. Don’t know any, but I am sure there are Dems the same way.
We need more education and teaching students learning how to be rational.
i think we want to believe in our hearts that we are following the right person. this explains how we voted in 2004. we knew the folks elected in 2000 were thoroughly corrupt, but we were led to believe that we should follow them again for a second term. we’re a boneheaded lot.
