That is usually true of fear (in fact, studies indicate that when struck by fear, lust or anger we lose as much as 30% of our thinking ability.) However, this is not that type of fear. It’s more the fear we have of damaging a relationship we value, not the fight-or-flight type of fear.
re: your comment yesterday about the Gilded Age. Very true about those trying to provide themselves with one. The difference is that the robber barons of that Age at least built something…they built oil companies, railroads, steel companies, auto plants. Today Robber Barons are just plain Robbers. Period.
