If the news is too trumped out, one could visit the bar next door.

Trump and his backers are forcing their fiction onto us and making the normal means of getting real information as any totalitarian state would do. Being in the formative stages it is still a tug of war though the better quality news services are making a great effort at keeping things straight on day 51. But the average listener will have to spend more time on news and less time on sports or whatever they do in order to keep track of it. Trump’s Dumps are betting enough won’t an they may be correct.

Still like the rustle of the paper, the ink on my fingers, the puzzles, the comics (even though the selection is much better here), the smell of the ink on paper, the local news; but, not the national news. I guess the fact I buy the paper keeps the advertisers interested in keeping the papers propped up. Fake news is the enemy of the people, not the “free” press. Get it right or stop writing; earn it by digging and documenting or stop calling it news. Too many people see thru the unmitigated gall of the present crop of lazy reporters who call what they do as news when they should call it editorial and opinion. Guess I have been around long enough to know what the reporters used to do to get the facts (Jack Webb: just the facts). Only then can an opinion of what the facts mean (impact) be drawn. Journalism is dead. Ah, que lastima!!
