I didn’t vote for either bozo (or bozette) in 2016. There’s a good chance I’ll also refrain in 2020. Voting for the lesser evil is still voting for evil.
Not voting (for whomever) is a big problem. We should be shaming this attitude, not encouraging it. Yes, yes, it’s a joke and I get the punchline. funneee. But people you’re part of the problem if you don’t vote.
For all you Lesser-of-Two-Evils people, are you so sure your “moral code” is so much superior to anyone else’s “moral code”? Is your horror at caging children less compelling than voting for someone who won’t cage children but maybe has other ideas with which you do not agree? Is ideological/mortal purity more important than anything else? What are your goals and how do you intend to achieve them from a position of such moral certainty?
I did not vote for any Presidential candidate in 2016, viewing both of them as profoundly unfit for the Office of President. Having seen the damage caused by Trump during his Presidency, I am convinced that we need to get the Commandant of the Concentration Camps out of office. I will therefore vote for whom ever the Democrats nominate. Although, to be honest, so far I have not seen a single candidate that I think can do the job.

Until we have a parliamentary multi-party vote that might count, I’ll vote for the least evil. The electoral college is winner take all which has led to our two party system. I’ve voted for the weaker or third party candidate only when I knew for sure the second choice had no chance of winning. The two times I did otherwise I ended up feeling like an idiot! I picked this up from R. Heinlin (? spelling): If you live in a society that votes, Always do so. There may be no one or nothing to vote for, but there will be something or someone to vote against!
