My grumble here is that Biden one ONE primary – 29 Feb – with a heavy thumb on the scale. As a result, just about everyone else threw in the towel 1 Mar, after most of the votes were already in for Super Tuesday – 3 Mar. The nomination was gifted to Joe – whose previous outings, primaries, caucuses, and debates, were debacles.
And now, by promising to choose a woman for his VP, he has pretty much eliminated everyone that ran against him, including Warren, whom he doesn’t appear to want to pick. Heck, I’m not even sure he’ll pick Stacy Abrams!
The big problem here is, Joe Biden’s choice of Vice President is perhaps the most important decision he will make for the rest of his life. As in, whomever he picks has a pretty good chance of becoming president without an election.
I am a Democrat, and I will vote for Biden when (no longer an “if”) he’s nominated. But I have the right to be extremely disappointed that the only way to unseat one senile president is to nominate an even older (and perhaps even more senile) candidate.
