Brings to mind about a dozen country songs.

That about describes it. Except the middle never did Wiley any good.

Doesn’t look like it will do either of these any good, either.

Scott’s apparent endorsement of JoJo shows just how far things have gone. Though the lesson ought to be for us, this is why third parties will never work.

No one cares about the middle anymore.

That if you were a Republican, Trump just wasn’t far enough out there for you. You had to go even further out. JoJo2020.

So far out there that to some of you, Biden still looks as if he is a socialist dictator. For some of you, your pet name for him is China Joe. Never mind that China gained so much more out of Trump’s tariff wars with them.

Just like the winners from Trump’s tantrums were North Korea and Iran. But I’m sure that some of you will still blame Biden for that one.

After all, he was Obama’s number two. I guess that makes everything his fault after all.

Democrats tried to meet you in the middle. That’s how we got Biden.

I sure as heck don’t see a thing from Scott’s side of the aisle.

What’s the middle between ‘Biden won and the election was fair’.

And

‘Trump won in a landslide because of widespread undetectable voter fraud which it’s up to the states to disprove.’?

What’s the middle ground between violently overthrowing the American government and a peaceful transfer of power?

Dummies! First you build the BRIDGE! And you can start it w/a messenger line.

So far we’re not seeing the compromise that Biden talked about in his election campaign. But it’s not surprising. The Democrats feel there is an urgency to boost the economy and that the bill must be passed quickly. But as usual they are adding a lot of things to the bill that don’t necessarily pertain to boosting the economy. Minimum wage? Cancel Student loan debt? increased Increased child tax credit? The Party of tRump on the other hand doesn’t share the same sense of urgency. Smaller stimulus payments with a lower AGI to phase out the payments. Less money for schools, small businesses, COVID vaccinations and PPE, smaller enhanced federal unemployment benefits. As well as omitting minimum wage, state and local government support. and student loan debt provisions.

Seems to me there is room for compromise. But how long would it take?

Pretty sure it’s not Dems saying “You first”… and then reneging on the offered deals.

The GQP’s idea of “meeting in the middle” is to push the right into “idiocy,” thus creating a new, way to the cuckoo right, middle.

Sad that conservatives see even attempts at cooperation (“meeting in the middle”) as a chasm impossible to transverse…

Bridging the gap.

They pull apart & throw everything toward the pits. They need to do the hard work together of building bridges & climbing mountains.

This is all very interesting, but doesn’t help me buy groceries, pay my utility bills, make my mortgage payments….but God forbid the big coporations don’t increase their profits.

What exactly is the middle between “Joe Biden won a fair election” and “Joe Biden stole the election via a mind-bogglingly complex conspiracy”?

Righto, the ones who did the separating need to really want to rejoin. Absorbing QAnon isn’t a good sign.
