Why didn’t they do something if they knew a year ahead of the attack? They’ll be accused of overreacting either way. The location offers little help, so the best defense is a reputation for massive retaliation, on all sides. Blood doesn’t make things holy, holes make things bloody. Nobody move & nobody gets hurt.
