    They can find all the habitable exoplanets they want, but they won’t do us any good because we have no way to get there. They might as well be imaginary as far as we are concerned. We can barely reach the planets in our solar system, and that takes weeks or months depending on how far out the planet is, much less land people on any of them. And considering the amount of radiation falling on our sister worlds, colonizing their surfaces is out of the question. We have to develop shields that can block radiation, and ships that can reach other worlds, even our neighbors, faster than the old sailing ships traveled.
