Next time you’re in London, visit the Victoria & Albert Museum (it’s free).In the “Castings” room is a full-size copy of Michelangelo’s David.Walk around behind the pedestal, and you’ll find the removable plaster fig leaf that was created in 1857 for those times that “royal ladies” visited the museum.You can read about it at the V&A’s website, look up object number 085428 (that first character is an Oh), or just search for “fig leaf”, it’ll be the first hit.

For those bemoaning the lack of used bookstores in your town, visit the nearest Goodwill. Some will have good selections, some very poor, but at least it’s a start.
