glenn once told me that everybody is fair game. he did say he tends to favor the conserv/repub side which is obvious but i like the fact that he doesn’t go blindly with one side.
i’m not making excuses for glenn. his opinions are his opinions. while yes they are often (especially in the area we live in) are unpopular he at lest expresses them. i even think some of his opinions are bull crap but hey he’s got the guts to splash them in public view which i wish more americans would do instead of sit there, drool on themselves and blindly go with whatever the flavor of the month is doing
you have to understand where glenn comes from. i know glenn personally, in fact he’s one of the big influences behind my comic misc soup on the sherpa side. he lives in illinois and the part of illinois where he lives is very… odd. i grew up near st. louis on the illinois side so did glenn . glenn is a rare breed around the area we live. a lot of the folks there are staunch democrats and won’t say a bad word against them regardless of how stupid they get. i like glenn’s take on a lot of his issues. yeah he’s pretty conservative but unlike a lot of people where we grew up he is very happy to call out people he normally sides with. yeah he gives dems a lot of crap but when the repubs do something stupid he’s not afraid to say it. the thing people need to understand about editorial cartoonists is we love to stir the pot and make people think. i think with a lot of the comments on this forum he has done the job whether you agree or not.
sadly this is true and it is getting scary i mean having to chose of the lesser of the two evils between the repubs and dems i’m terrified for the future
