I only wish that was cynicism. I only wish I haven’t seen the reality of what you say. I’ve seen far too much of it lately.

You got the point – he pulled it off for a year. And if she’s not wishing she chose better, she’ll be wanting to marry him. (/cynicmode = OFF)

You know? In a sick perverted way, this is a match made in heaven. A cage match, that is.

Someone was talking about Timeline Hell yesterday juggling two timelines if Brad/Toni had kids.

Remember that Greg spent years doing exactly that kind of juggling. Brad has gone from graduating high school, through 2+ years of EMT and fire academy training to having been in the FD for at least a couple of years. All while Luann has stayed 16. He was running a serial story and episodic story in the same strip and managed to keep everthing stable. He’s mentioned in email before that it drove him nuts at times, but it was an impressive stunt to manage.

Since they became an official “in-love” couple, he’s sort of harmonized the two major stories to these arcs we see now. Toni is more active outside the Brad story. Not bad for character that was originally intended to be a short-term foil for Brad in EMT class.

Otto, with this wrap-up, I’m sure she’s not going to be gone for good. It might sit in the cool dark cellar awhile to age, but we’ll see more when we least expect it. This is one of the reasons I like Greg’s work. He knows his fans and how to play with their heads and has a good sense of timing. Remember he wrote this strip at least 6 weeks ago!

I did once very early on, but I’m not going to battle for it again. There’s Greg’s site, which is a much more friendly place, though I’ve not had time to post there lately, either. If they did add an Ignore, I’d sure consider a subscription. That’s the main reason I didn’t/won’t go Pro. I feel no obligation to subsidize the noise.

Yes, an arch shift has to be coming. Don’t forget both Tiff and Quill are heading to L.A. over Christmas break. I wonder if Greg is going to come up with a circumstance for Luann to also go?

You mean Cartoonist Studio? If so, they also have an ignore user function so you can filter out the useless noise. That alone went a long way to solving problems.

@worldisacomic, They’ve already been through the fraternization thing when Brad was asking to be transferred to Toni’s station. That’s when Brad said they were in love and the Captain said that’s why they couldn’t be at the same station.
