This arc is an old fav of mine, particularly as regards the new manager’s, ahem, negative reinforcement non-verbal communication technique… ;-)

The Saturday afternoon test of the nuclear / air raid warning klaxon horns (if you lived in a strategically vulnerable area, e.g. around missile silos)… man, those were different times…

    it’s the CO2.

Only chance he has to try to force an early bloom is to switch to blooming food and speed up the light cycle, make it look like they’re getting closer to autumnal equinox / winter. The plants either respond with happy results, or they crash into hermaphrodism and the crop is well below expectations. It’s best to focus on ‘early girl’ strains if they want to speed up production.

We are long overdue to overturn the NCAA as currently constituted, and institute a club athletic system as is practiced overseas, particularly in Europe. An approximately 70% reduction in athletic scholarships means that those awards can go to true scholar-athletes who demonstrate genuine need and genuine commitment to complete their educations. No more question of ‘amateur’ athletes in giant, moneymaking university athletic departments- those departments can go strictly commercial, with no ties (or significantly reduced ties) to their namesake schools.

Only a visit can cleanse you of ignorance… those of us outside of the central ZIP codes live quiet lives of diminishing prosperity, as we experience the assault on our health care plans, in terms of both quality and of out-of-pocket expenses. Yes, it’s merely a slice of the abomination that is OBAMANATION.

Edward G. Robinson (born Emanuel Goldberg, Bucharest, 1893) was fluent in Yiddish from the time he could speak. Perhaps he `passed` as `goyim`.

I, for one, wish I could keep zucchini growing past May. This area of TX suffers from a high squash vine borer infestation rate. The vines are squishy, rotted and gone by June.
