Some of the comics definitely aged better than others :-)

So did he get the blanket back in one of the missing comics on the 13th or 23rd, or is this an eternal mystery? :-)

    September 19, 1966.

Unfortunately, GoComics is missing several weeks of comics.

Ok… they’re missing well over a years worth of comics. But they’re missing several weeks of September 1966. :-)

I suspect for the majority of the early work they just took non-color reprints (like from the original paperback peanuts collections) rather than the color newspaper submissions.

When they’re reprinted for classic peanuts the colored versions show up again.

Either way, I’m just happy to be able to read most of the archive online.

Right after he complains about how he always puts things off, he sits down and watches TV instead. He has identified the solution to his problem and is completely ignoring it despite how much its obviously bothering him.

Its a classic ‘wishy washy’ line, and its not the first time its been used. For example, three frames of waiting in line at the movies saying he should go home and work on his homework, followed by him purchasing the ticket and watching the movie anyway.

If the sign isn’t clever, it should at least be sincere. :-)

Interesting placement for an old Easter Seals stamp.

“Help Crippled Children, Easter Seals 1959”

Some still do. Its just news when the parents get sued for it. (To be fair, occasionally the parents do deserve it).

I still think spanking is frequently better than the psychological games some parents play.
