It’s supposed to be lettering on the side of the bus, the bus that’s plugged into the house. I think it says, “Slow Groove”.

The north did ‘let it go’ – they didn’t jail or execute any of the Civil War traitors in order to try to heal the country. What did the south do? They passed Jim Crow laws, started the KKK, began a terrible legacy of lynchings, erected statues and named military bases for their ‘heroes’. I’d say it’s the south that wouldn’t ‘let it go’.

Not ‘half the country’ … only about 68% of citizens actually voted in the 2020 election, less than half of those voted for TFG. You’re looking at roughly a third of the country supporting the Republicans. The only way they win anything is by gerrymandering, voter suppression and packing the Supreme Court. That’s why their policies are particularly galling, the majority of the country does not support those policies yet they keep shoving them down our throat.

HCR – Letters from an American! It’s a little history lesson every morning, much of it I never learned in school. She does an amazing job of putting current events into historical perspective.

Travel. Hobbies. Really? It’s more like take a second job for the summer (because most teachers aren’t paid a decent wage), participate in continuing education classes (it’s required to keep the job) and then head back into the classroom well before the students return, getting ready for them. There’s no money for travel, there’s not much time for hobbies. We need to start treating our teachers better.
